Dennis Ellis, Chair of Washington’s 48th Legislative District, has announced his candidacy for State Representative, Position 1. With decades of experience in leadership, finance, small business, and community service, Dennis brings a strong, solutions-driven perspective to the race.
A Seattle native and U.S. Air Force veteran, Dennis earned his business degree from Gonzaga University and a Master’s in Finance from Seattle University. His career has spanned entrepreneurship and corporate finance, including 11 years at The Boeing Company in roles across accounting and credit analysis.
Dennis and his wife Lea, also an Air Force veteran, met while serving overseas and have been married for 40 years. They’ve called Redmond home for over three decades, raising two children and serving through Timberlake Church and international missions.
Now, Dennis is stepping up to challenge the status quo in Olympia. He’s running to bring fiscal responsibility, limited government, and a renewed focus on individual liberty to a position long held by advocates of growing taxes and expanding state control.
"I’m not a career politician—I’m a citizen who’s ready to lead with common sense and integrity," says Dennis.
The August primary will be the first step in what Dennis hopes is a path to delivering real change for the 48th District.
