I’m a native Texan who grew up in Dallas.  Throughout my childhood and teenage years, my parents instilled moral values and a strong work ethic in me that I have maintained my entire adult life.

I graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas.  I attended El Centro and graduated with an Associates Degree in Police Science.  I’ve completed course work at Dallas Baptist University, Texas A&M Career Development  Center, Texas Woman’s University and Sam Houston State University.  I was awarded the professional designation of Graduate-Management Institute from the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas.

My wife Lyn, and I were married in April 1974.  We will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary this year.  We have two adult children, Natalie and Christopher.  They live in McKinney and Plano.

I went to work for the Richardson Police Department in July 1979.  I worked for the Department for twenty five years before retiring as a Police Lieutenant in 2004.

Lyn and I owned the Motorcycle Training Center, Inc for twelve years before selling the business in 2005.  

My diverse work experience has allowed me to bring a unique outlook to public office.   I use my business expertise when making decisions that effect our city.

I’ve served as the Place 7 representative on the City Council since being elected in May 2007.
